First attempt at painting a man. Also, my first attempt at a full on painting in Artrage, which is the best program in the entire universe. Go download the free version, and if you like it the full version is only $20. Which is insane compared to photoshop and painters prices. It's the best money I've ever spent and I know I sound like I'm totally a sales rep BUT SERIOUSLY I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PROGRAM. THE COLOR BLENDING. OMG. *dies*

Also, I'm a proud lover of the :icongirlsgirlsgirls: Club!
And I wouldn't say the program as a whole is better than painter, you have fewer options as far as mediums go, and how much you can customize those mediums. But, the mediums they have seem to function better and I personally get better results with them than I do in painter, even with a ton of tweaking.
The way colors blend in this program is spectacular. I would recommend downloading the free version and playing with it to see what I mean, you'll be able to tell even in the limited environment.
Artrage eh? Sounds like a great program, but I'll stick to Photoshop here.
